In math we continued working on learning the multiplication facts. The kids should be at the stage where they should NOT need to use the multiplication chart. Keep practicing those facts at home!
We wrapped up our Earth's Place in our Universe unit last week, so we began our next unit called Living Things have Life Cycles. We spent time discussing what we already know about life cycles as the kids did the butterfly unit last year. Investigating a seed was our next activity along with predicting what seeds need to grow. The kids wrote up an experiment we will be working on next week. Some of the kids are going to try growing seeds without soil, without light and without food.
