Reading with Mrs. Bender

We continued our journey with Austin in Dear Levi and the kids are enjoying the story.  It has had many twist and turns these last couple of days!  Our project this week was to research animals found along Austin's journey.

In our anthology we read "Across the Wide, Dark Sea" and we compared and contrasted the pilgrims journey with the journey immigrants took in the 1800.  Most agreed they would rather travel now or in the 1800's rather than the 1600's.  Skills this week focused on making inferences, summary skills, sequencing skills and suffixes.
