Spelling words this week are words in which the base word "changed the y to an i" and a suffix was added (puppies, candies, cried). We also learned about jargon, or special meanings words can have in certain situations, and reviewed simple and compound sentences.
Our writing project this week involved writing about ourselves - autobiographies, since we've been reading biographies in reading this week. It was difficult for students to write a narrative biography, so we turned our autobiographies into poems that students published by typing the poems in the lab.
