Reading with Mrs. Hartsock

We're wrapping up theme 3 in our reading series.  This week we read the fantasy story, The Garden of Abdul Gasazi.  Ask your child what makes this story a fantasy, and what part of the story leaves the reader wondering what really happened.  Next week we'll review reading skills and strategies from this theme, and will take the test.

During guided reading block we are still reading Little House on the Prairie.  It is fun to read about Laura's life as a pioneer!
