Mr. Slabaugh is working with the third graders on a fun project! Each student wrote about pioneer life (using a writing prompt of their choice) to reflect on what it may have been like to be a pioneer or a member of Laura's family. We are using the web application, Vocaroo to record ourselves reading our piece of writing, which students will then post to their kidblog blogs. Today Mr. Slabaugh showed Mrs. Hartsock's class how Vocaroo works, and he has started working with students to record them reading. Mrs. Bender's class is up next! Be sure to check with your child to see if he/she has done a Vocaroo yet, then visit kidblog to hear it.
