This week's spelling words included the "ow" and "aw" sounds spelled with the letter o. Our grammar focus for the week was a tricky one: showing possession using an apostrophe "s" or showing plural possession by adding an apostrophe after the s. We'll keep working on this tricky skill.
Students also (finally!) got to resume working on their newspaper articles that we started a couple of weeks ago (Iowa Assessments cut into our writing time). This week we worked on writing a "catchy" beginning and wrote our drafts. Next week we'll edit and hopefully publish.
