Reading with Mrs. Bender

Volcanoes were the theme this week in Reading.  We read "Dogzilla" which was about a dog who climbed out of a volcano and attacked a town of mice.  Lots of fun adventures.  The author was Dav Pilkey, the same author of "Captain Underpants."  We also learned about diagrams, and colored a diagram of a volcano, learned the different parts of the volcano, worked on summarizing skills, and best of all...made a volcano.  On Friday we had many volcanoes exploding in our room!
