Iowa Testing Programs (also know as Iowa Test of Basic Skills)

Report cards will be coming home next week.  Inside will be the report from the Iowa Testing Program (also known as the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills).  The first page will have a chart showing a narrative for all of the tests.  On the second and third page is a more detailed report concerning reading and math.  The box we will be focusing on is at the top right side labeled "Test Summary."  In that box there is another box labeled "Proficiency Indicator," this will tell you if your student is proficient in reading and math.  The other subjects listed on the first page do not have a detailed report.  Below is a chart that should help you determine if your student is proficient in the other subject areas.

Standard Score Ranges for Achievement Levels
Reading - 166-200
Math - 168-192
Science - 167-199
Social Studies - 164-195
Written Expression - 165-198

We will be discussing these scores during our parent teacher conferences.  Please contact Mrs. Bender if you have any questions.
