Language Skills

This week's spelling list included words that are homophones (sound the same, but are spelled differently). We enjoyed reading the book Dear Deer to learn more about homophones and how important it is to spell homophones correctly so that we communicate the correct meaning.  We continue to study verbs in grammar, and this week focused on changing present tense verbs into past or future tense verbs.

Next week we'll be taking our end of the theme review spelling test which includes all of the words/spelling patterns we've studied during theme 3.  Students can review for the test by practicing the lists on the spelling city website (check out the link to the right or click on the websites tab above).
