Math

We continue to work on decimals in class.  The kids are learning decimals by using the base 10 blocks.  When the entire row on the 100's square chart is filled in you are using "longs" or 10 tens which would mean a 0.0 decimal.  When using just a square you are using "cubes" or a 100's which would mean a decimal of 0.00.  If you are using 10's you will only have a 2 digit decimal, using 100's you will have a 3 digit decimal.  Pretty basic information to get the form down, understanding it...we will keep working on. :)
Next week we introduce the thousandths.
