Social Studies

We continue to study Chapter 8, focusing on how communities change.  This week we focused on changes in communication.  It is amazing to think that only 200 years ago, the main way that people communicated was via the mail!  Students brainstormed ways that we communicate today, and it was fun to see all of the ways we can communicate:  telephone/cell phone, texting, blogging, e-mail,  and skyping were just a few of the methods we thought of.   Next week we'll look at how inventions have changed communities.
