Math by Justice Jones

In math we are just finishing the measuring unit but now we are doing multiplication and turning them into number stories.  We also played two math games this week that we can use to practice our facts at home.  One is called "Beat the Calculator" and the other was called "Bloppo."  To play "Beat the Calculator, one player has the calculator, the other person turns over number cards, two at a time, and multiply them together.  Whoever gets the answer right first is the winner.  In "Bloppo" you roll two dice to find the factors you are multiplying.  You do this three times, then add up the products.  Whoever has the highest product is the winner.
