Reading with Mrs. Bender

This week our theme focused around Beverly Clearly's Ramona books.  We worked on performing a play and reading an excerpt from Ramona, Age 8.  Skill work focused on summarizing what they read stating the character, setting, problem, solution, events and making a connection to something in their own lives.  We also investigated the Ramona web site that is on our blog.
