In the last couple of weeks, we've wrapped up our final reading theme, Smart Solutions, and took our last reading theme test of the year! Since we made it all the way through our reading text, we're now enjoying reading a new novel with the extra time. We're reading a third grade favorite - The Legend of Jimmy Spoon. Ask your child to fill you in on the plot of this exciting story . . . We've had some great discussions so far!
Mrs. Hartsock is also working on administering spring DRAs (Developmental Reading Assessment), for which students read individually with the teacher and are assessed on their reading rate, number of errors and reading comprehension.
